Originally from Germany where Chiropractic is not widely known, Dr Didi Draeger had his first spinal adjustment at the age of 40. Having worked many years in demanding, stressful executive roles, back/neck pain and frequent muscle cramps in the mid-back were constant issues that exercise, stretching or massages alone couldn’t resolve.
After experiencing the transformative power of Chiropractic himself, he eventually retrained as a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating in 2010 with a double science degree in Chiropractic with merit honours. Didi was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence in his final year.
Didi is a Co-founder and Director at Peak Performance Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Clinic on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. He uses a variety of techniques including Diversified, Activator, Drop-Piece, Flexion-Distraction, Kinesio taping and myo-fascial release techniques.
Since graduating he has undertaken a variety of additional professional development courses:
- Soft Tissue Manipulation
- Master Class in Clinical Chiropractic – Macquarie University
- Management of Chronic Pain
- Disorders of the Lumbar Spine
- Accurate Diagnosis for Every Day Practice
- Recognising Serious Disorders Masquerading as Mechanical Musculo-Skeletal Pain
- 85 Hours Certified Post-Graduate Education in Chiropractic Paediatrics
- Evidence for Exercise: Neck, Upper Back, Lower Back, Abdominal Strength, Hip, Lower Body Shoulder
- Licenced trainer/practitioner Certification for use of miha bodytec Whole-Body electromyostimulation
Didi’s mission is to help people realize all they can do to achieve the best level of personal wellbeing. He has conducted postural spinal assessments, postural awareness and exercise sessions at early childhood centres & schools and delivered various presentations to the general public, such as an overview of “Early Brain Development” with a special focus on the effects of screen time.
As many patients will confirm, Didi regularly encourages them to stretch, strengthen their core musculature, stay hydrated and to be more aware of how good nutrition influences their health.
