Dr Naomi Draeger is passionate about Chiropractic, having had chiropractic care since early childhood. What many people don’t know about Naomi is that from a very young age, it was always her childhood dream to become a Chiropractor.
As is often the case with students contemplating medical and health sciences, Naomi was apprehensive about the five years of study in science, particularly using human cadavers to learn about anatomy and physiology.
Nevertheless, ‘the fire burned deep’ and after a long period working in senior roles in foreign trade and the corporate health sector, she finally achieved her dream when she retrained as a Chiropractor in her early 40s.
For Naomi, chiropractic care has been a constant in thriving through the ages, traversing the challenges that life throws up - from early childhood through to our later years. Naomi graduated in 2010 with a double science degree in Chiropractic and was awarded the Chiropractic Board of Australia’s ‘Most Proficient and Professional Clinical Student Award’.
In recent times, having experienced first-hand, muscle loss and poor bone quality after menopause and a period of inactivity (sitting at a desk 12-14 hours per day), Naomi has immersed herself in understanding how muscle strength, good nutrition, exercise and physical activity are critical in maintaining overall health.
Subsequently, her focus on muscle rehabilitation and developing strong bones has deepened. Naomi is committed to helping patients achieve ‘quality of life years’ as they enter their mid and older life cycle.
