miha bodytec whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS)

Age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia) that may lead to osteopenia and osteoporosis

Non specific back pain caused by poor core muscles

Whole-body electro-myo-stimulation (WB-EMS) is an evidence-based rehabilitation therapy that develops muscle mass quickly and safely.

TGA approved in 2022, the German designed and manufactured miha bodytec medical device has been proven to be clinically effective and efficient for those diagnosed with sarcopenia (age related muscle atrophy) and non-specific lower back pain.

The therapy is delivered by trained practitioners during a 30 minute therapy session as the core component of muscle rehabilitation.

During the therapy, all major muscle groups are targeted simultaneously, through low frequency electric impulses, in conjunction with own bodyweight exercises.

Due to the targeted approach to all major muscle groups, one session per week is equivalent to between 2-4 hours of moderate resistance exercise. Therefore the results are fast, which is attractive for middle aged and senior individuals looking to prioritise their health, strengthen their bodies and stay active in day-to-day life.
