Dry Needling

Dry Needling uses fine filiform needles at specific point locations to facilitate blood circulation and coordinate the nervous system.

Myofascial trigger points, or knots, within the muscle are targeted to prompt an influx of blood through the tissue to stimulate repair.

Needling should be a painless experience but can sometimes provoke a very brief pain response and occasionally patients may report a mild dull feeling in the muscle which may last up to 24 hours.

Dry Needling when used in conjunction with Chiropractic techniques can be extremely effective in the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

On-the-spot private health fund rebates are available for dry needling as part of chiropractic services using HICAPS.
